The Daily Mail had an article last week on a number of dukes – one of whom, apparently, was descended from Jane Seymour. I wonder how that works?

That’s another big pet peeve of mine – misuse of the word “descendant” when they really mean “relative of” or “descended from a relative of”. And don’t even get me started on people mixing up the words “ancestor” and “descendant”!
