No fat Henry in "The Tudors" seasons 3 and 4

Oh well, there goes my theory that they were leading up to a fat Henry VIII with that final scene of him tearing into a bunch of food at the end of season 2…

I’ve seen this bit of news come through in a bunch of places, so here is just one of the many links to the story.

  1. Analisa says:

Well, somehow I’m not surprised……but sorely disappointed. Oh well

  2. Tracey says:

Nope, I’m not surprised, either. Doubtless a lot of audience would disappear if Henry became ‘real’ in appearance.

Have read that Season Three will only be 8 episodes, instead of the 10 for One and Two. Most will feature the Pilgrimage of Grace. Poor Jane…she just won’t get a lot of air time.

  3. sex always wins over accuracy. I personally have never been a big Henry VIII fan so I was really looking forward to his fat years. ah well. I will still watch it but I am disappointed too.

  4. Bladerunner says:

Disappointed yes. But I’ll still watch. It is more a soap, then an accurate anyway. Many people would be scared off by the real Henry.

  5. Angel02 says:

I just enjoy The Tudors. I know it is not historically accurate, but I take this lightly and am fascinated by a great series, better than most offered to us!
