Charles Brandon comes to mind, but he was a few years older.
When Henry was younger, he also had a whipping boy. I can’t remember his name? I do remember Edward's whipping boy was Barnaby Fitzpatrick and he loved him dearly...but that probably does not help you.
I know that Henry and William Compton were friends early on, and eventually Charles Brandon joined. I believe even Carey (Mary Boleyn's husband) and Henry were good friends when he was younger.
King Henry VIII's friends were charles Brandon the duke of suffolk he was his partner at the tiltyard and his boon companion they were very close and also william compton he also used to joust with him.
