Looks lovely! And how appropriate after the news of the Anne Boleyn Experience! I’d love to go there some time!

Just beautiful! I just went to Hever for my birthday this past May. Those 2 tall trees which balance your photo are no longer there. It is a huge clearing now just beyond the second moat. I think I preferred the trees!

  3. Lara says:

    - Marilyn – that’s what inspired me to choose a Hever photo. I was kind of surprised that I hadn’t already used on by now!

    - Kristian – Shame the trees aren’t there any more. I’ll be curious to see how much has changed whenever I *do* finally get back there (at least two or three years down the road!).

  4. Am I mistaken, or was this property up for sale at one point? Do we know who bought it?

  5. Lara says:

It looks like the last time it changed hands was in 1983 when Broadland Properties Limited (the current owners) bought it.

  6. Ooops, my bad! I got it confused with Rochford Hall–which did go up for sale last year! Sorry!

  7. Kristian says:

I know it’s not the same as being there yourself… but here are two views of Hever from slightly farther up the hill… (if you’re curious)
