Henry VII got a little more "love" last night when the MGM-HD cable channel ran the Ian MacKellan's 1995 version of Shakespeare's Richard III. Though Richard is the main character, the entire purpose of the play was Tudor revisionism vilifying Richard and promoting Henry Tudor as the savior of England. If you have not seen the MacKellan version, I recommend it very highly. It is a brilliant adaptation that utilizes costumes and sets of the late 1930s, unmistakably evoking Richard as a Hitler-esque figure. And the old Battersea Power Station serves as a principal backdrop, with the Battle of Bosworth set inside the shell of the station. Great film!

I haven't heard anything, but i wouldn't be surprised if she or another royal dropped by one or more of the exhibitions.

And it was nice to see H7 get a little love! :)

How grand that Henry VIIth is being recognized! With all the hoopla over Hal 8's coming to the throne, it's nice to see a posy given to his father. Is Her Majesty going to be participating in anything for the son?
